Bishop Michelle B. Patty Biography

Outstanding Pastor, Entrepreneur and Community Activist….Bishop  Michelle B. Patty is a native of Tampa, Florida and She is a product of the Hillsborough county public school system.  Ms. Patty is a devoted wife to Deacon Jesse Patty, a caring mother of three and grandmother of six.

Mrs. Patty has received numerous accolades and awards for her outstanding commitment to her community.  In 1996, she was only African American female appointed as an Olympic Torch Bearer.

In 1998 the “CCHR” Human Rights Award was presented to her.

She was the founder and host of Black Talk and the Michelle B. Patty personal injury report which aired on WTMP am radio station.  She was also the past founder and host of Straight Talk that aired on 88.5 fm radio, the Michelle B. Patty & King Cobra Morning show that aired on News Talk820 Radio ( 1st African American’s) to host on that broadcast. Also Co-host of the Michelle B. Patty & King Cobra Gospel showcase.

In 2001, this successful Pastor and entrepreneur started her own referral service.  She is the owner of the Michelle B. Patty medical Referral Service which services the entire Tampa Bay area.

In addition, Ms. Patty is a Civic Activist in her community. She was the co-founder and past President of Concerned African American Citizens.  Under her leadership, the organization was recognized by the Supervisor of Elections for their outstanding efforts in getting people to register to vote.  She was also appointed as a representative to serve on the Ellsworth G. Simmons Good Government Committee by former County Commissioner Kevin White.

In 2004, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology from Blessed Hope Bible College where she graduated Magna Cum Laude to become a license ordained Minister. In the same year she was ordained as an Elder.


She was named the October 2006 Business Woman of the Month by the B.W.B.O.E.E. Inc.  Mrs. Patty received the 2007 Bigger and Better Business Award from PHI BETA SIGMA Fraternity Inc., GAMMA ETA SIGMA CHAPTER.  She also received the 2007 Community Activist Award from the Fellowship of Deliverance Church, Inc.  She was named in the 2007-2008, Who’s Who Heritage Registry among successful businesses.  In February of 2008, she was an honored recipient of The Black Diamond Award which was presented by Mt. Pleasant Base Charter School.  She also was awarded the Twenty Lights Award from the City of Tampa.

In 2009, she was honored as a mighty woman of God by the Women of Zion International, Inc.  Also, in 2009 Bishop  Patty Co-founded Krunk for Christ Mentoring Ministries for youth and families in need, the organization provides a safe, positive and spiritual  environment for youth to display the talents that God has blessed them with, whether it be through song, dance, spoken word , etc and fellowship with one another. She also provides counseling for those that are in need she has been a financial and spiritual blessing to many.  In her compassion and dedication to save the youth, Ms. Patty has been very instrumental in being a liaison with parents and the school board to keep our youth in school so they can graduate and  go on to college.


Bishop Patty was the 2010 , 2012 and 2015 proud sponsor of the Historical Blake and Middleton game in which Howard W Blake is her Alma Mater. She also received the NAACP woman’s Leadership Award in 2015.

She is a member of Tampa Bay Tiger Club.  She is also a lifetime member of the Cambridge Who’s Who Registry of Executives and Professionals. She is also a member of the NAACP Chapter in Memphis Tennessee.

In 2013  she was  elevate to Bishop. She was the 1st woman to preach at St Mark Missionary Baptist Church after 112 years of the church’s existence. Today, her ministry travels throughout the Tampa Bay area.



Her favorite quote is Psalms 25: Unto thee on Lord, do I lift up my soul.  Oh my God, “I Trust in thee; let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.  Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed; let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.  “Show me thy ways oh Lord, teach me thy path.  Lead  me in thy truth, and teach me; for thou art God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.”
